NVIDIA ^officially Brings Anaglyph 3D to the masses
Posted by: Dragon in FREEDOM, Games, That's just coolJust read a great article on PC Perspective that nvidia is pushing anaglyph 3d for its GeForce product line. Apparently I was on to something in my L4d in 3D post.
I guess when 100,000 people decide that something is cool, nvidia should listen. And they appear to have listened. I can’t wait for official anaglyph glasses and the official driver support for XP, Vista, and W7.

It’s them trying to make money in a deep recession.. I think they are desperate.. Remember in the 50s when anaglyph glasses took off, it was an attempt to bring people in from their living rooms (watching TV) to watch movies again. Stereograms are so hard to maintain, it forces people to perceive things first hand without the use of zoom effects, because a optical zoom only flattens the 3D effect. There are also problems that can give people headaches like poor alignment or hyper-stereo effects (too wide a separation for the eyes to focus or too great a difference in the images to prevent the brain from establishing a relationship (causing double vision and eye strain).. I think they should also lower the prices of the glasses.. But it may be the case of doing that is to prevent them from taking on too much trouble from people who are medically not able to use this stuff nor who would be able to see the effect. It’s highly subjective.. It relies on ones ability to process artificial stereo imagery and not everyone can do it.
